A Short Biography of Ton Boudewijn
Ton Boudewijn started painting in 1988. His paintings in acryl, varying in size from 50x70cm. until 100x150cm., can be watched in a permanent exhibition in Gallery Boudewijn. He also creates wooden statues, sometimes on specific locations. You can ask the artist to make a painting in the size you give preference to.
Ton characterizes his own work as follows: "The main theme of my work is the universe and the consciousness evolving in it, the loneliness going along with it and the hope that all is being seen and guided by a higher consciousness than ours."
What Art Critics Have to Say about Boudewijn's works
"While the works of the masters dominate the artistic world, this series of pictures presented by Ton Boudewijn can be easily approached to them." - Rose Marie Bellemur. See full review of Ton's 2009 London exhibition here.
"Mr. Boudewijn’s canvases are like windows to a sphere where the emotive manifests into tactile forms, so that the spectator may deeper explore their own soul." - Ruthie Tucker. See full review of Ton's New York city exhibition here. |
